The Parenthood Transition

Parenthood is one of the most life-altering and all-consuming roles you will ever have.  Relationships, career paths, and priorities shift to make room for your growing family. Pregnancy or preparing for baby’s arrival, and the postpartum period up through your child’s first and second birthday can be particularly stressful (yet exciting!). It is often helpful to work through some of the issues that arise during this time, especially if you are struggling with a postpartum anxiety or mood disorder.

Through our therapeutic work together, I will help you prepare for parenthood before your child arrives, assist you in the postpartum period, and engage you in the ongoing work it often takes to stay emotionally and physically healthy as you return to the office or adjust to staying at home full-time.
