About Me

IMG_2601

I place the highest importance on developing meaningful relationships with all of my clients, as I believe a strong therapeutic bond is essential to tackle complex problems and stressors. I join with clients to do some practical problem-solving, build emotional skills and resilience, and gain insight into relationships and events, both past and present. I  integrate my sense of humor into sessions, and do not shy away from challenging clients to safely take emotional risks, always with the goal of improving their daily lives and relationships.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 20 years of clinical experience. I have expertise in working with survivors of trauma, as well as individuals with mood and anxiety disorders.

I received a Master of Social Work degree from Washington University in St. Louis, and an undergraduate degree from Connecticut College. Before working in private practice, I held leadership and advanced clinical positions at community behavioral health and hospital settings in Washington, DC.

On a personal level, I am a parent to a joyful and spirited eight year old. I enjoy spending time outdoors, reading fiction and memoirs, and exploring new food and restaurants.
